Customer Responsibility / RA & RMA / DOA
HiTV Communications Pty Ltd (hereafter called HiTV) offers a standard 12 months (from the original purchase invoiced date) parts and labour warranty on all HiTV branded hardware products.
HiTV direct warranty service is provided to HiTV registered resellers and dealers. HiTV suggests all general private users contact your original resellers/installers where you purchase the products to claim repair services. All HiTV products are suggested to be installed and inspected by professional HiTV authorized car A/V installers before sending to HiTV for repair. Products diagnoses are required prior to RMA/DOA claim to HiTV. HiTV??s resellers and dealers are responsible to all installation jobs, product diagnoses and inspections, and provide professional warranty services to their end customers (end users).
HiTV undertake to carry out any necessary repair on a consumer product without charge for parts or labour during the period specified herein commencing from the date of original purchase.
When presented for service is accompanied with the applicable purchase receipt. When service inspection reveals the unit is in good order and working condition and the alleged fault is caused by incorrect operation of user controls, reception problems resulting from an inadequate antenna system, outside interference or mains supply problems, flat batteries, use of poor quality or damaged magnetic tapes, the owner shall be liable for the minimum service fee charged by the HiTV authorised reseller/dealer or service centre.
Such Repairs will be carried out within normal business hours (Monday ? Friday). The warranties conferred by HiTV are in addition to all other rights available to the consumer under any applicable statute.
The owner is responsible for arranging removal from and reinstallation into the vehicle of all Mobile Entertainment equipment, so it can be sent or taken to a HiTV authorised service centre for repair under warranty.
Subject to any warranties implied by statute at no time will HiTV or its resellers/dealers are liable for any economic loss consequent upon the failure of the product.
Recordable media, connecting cords, loose accessories, batteries, carrying case and straps, cabinet parts are not covered for any manufacturing defects which have been specifically drawn to the customer?s attention before purchase and where the customer has examined the goods before purchase, where those defects ought to have been revealed to the Customer upon examination.
This product is sold to the retailer and neither the retailer nor any other person has authority to give any additional warranty or guarantees on HiTV behalf either written or verbal.
Subject to any warranties implied by statute, HiTV reserves the right to replace the product with the same or equivalent product rather than have the product repaired. Where a replacement is provided the original product, along with it?s accessories becomes the property of HiTV and the warranty will remain from the original purchase date. HiTV warranty shall not exceed the original purchase price of the product.
SPECIAL NOTES - SHOULD THE SERIAL NUMBER BE DELETED, ALTERED OR TAMPERED WITH, CONTACT HITV CUSTOMER SERVICE TO DETERMINE IF DEEMED VOID.THIS WARRANTY APPLIES TO THE ORIGINAL (RETAIL) PURCHASER ONLY AND IS NOT TRANSFERABLE.
